Description
This is the first thing I painted after returning from 11 days of sacred sights, ceremony, and traveling to the depths of my soul and beyond on Sacred Voyage Retreat - Peru. We traversed the mountains, flying into Cusco, staying in Urubamba, and visiting Machu Picchu. I spent a lot of time admiring the clouds on our hikes, and sitting on the bus with my jaw dropped open as we passed one glorious mountain view after the next. "Mountain Light" captures the energy of the light coming into my heart, as it passed over the mountains. This painting is for anyone who feels like they could use some of that light, coming from the source, piercing through the clouds, to lighten up the heart space. It can bring health and vitality to a wounded heart; healing, uplifting and preparing you for your heart's most joyous calling. At 18x24", this acrylic painting is full of texture. I created this image by painting on top of an already somewhat textured piece, whose energy I felt could use a boost. The past image provides a backdrop color and texture. I used a palette knife (one of my favorite tools) to scrape thick chunks of pink, yellow, blue, white and metallic gold onto the canvas, revealing the bright image now before you.
